Complementary

Complementary was an exhibition by artists Kathy Fahey and Roma McLaughlin at Quadrant Gallery Hawthorn, Melbourne. The exhibition  included paintings, lino-prints and ceramics by Kathy Fahey depicting the urban and rural landscapes in and around Melbourne. In the adjoining gallery artist Roma McLaughlin exhibited her paper cuts and paintings reflecting the domestic and urban environment in which she lives and works. Both artists use and love colour. Kathy's work is painterly and expressive, Roma's more intimate with a heavy emphasis on pattern. The exhibition was opened by the then Director of the Art Gallery of Ballarat Gordon Morrison.
