Upon Reflection was a solo exhibition by artist Kathy Fahey at Tacit Galleries Abbotsford in 2017. The landscapes in this exhibition were depictions of the remnant bushland along the Yarra River in Melbourne. The work looked at the reflections in these river landscapes and depicted what the artist sees as some of the quintessential elements of the Australian landscape, bleached eucalypts, waterways and big skies. The paintings in this exhibition are acrylics on Stonehenge paper and are contemporary renderings of the natural world. They are painterly and expressive in nature, not photo representive but rather the artist's interpretation of bushland extant in inner Melbourne.
